Bye Bye age of engage
I dont know where to start …
our ( Ministry of information ) started blocking down sites like porn, political movement, Devian art , google translate, Proxy lists, etc… , i also heard they might have facebook, youtube and other social media websites on their blacklist… im not interested in politics well some porn wont harm, just kidding , sigh!!!!!
Just don’t go and close down portals blindly …
It is sad seriously its not funny, my previous post was about how technology is evolving and how people are using it to develop new applications everyday, changing the media landscape, inspiring people with the web2.0 ++ tools and elements …
Is this what our ” Age of Engage ” ought to be ?
The current filter is taking place @ Batelco’s end and will be deployed on BIX ( Bahrain internet exchange ) meaning all Bahrain internet traffic is going to be filtered ( the BB is watching ), they tell us where we can go and where we cant…
we all know they cant stop it 100% there are always tools and services that enables us to bypass whether they like it or not, but this is not the point, censorship is, not trusting us, not giving us the freedom to choose and be .
ammaro.com is talking about blocking “lottery and online gambling site” though we used to have scratch and win, or buying a 50 BD lottery ticket from the airport …
Yagoob on the other hand is talking about how blocking such site like ( devianArt ) is going against everything that Shaikha Mai bint Ebrahim Al-Khalifa stood for in Bahrain’s art community…
I might get blocked too by the head blocker engineer ” blockhead ” as Ammar described lol, doesn’t matter if i got blocked, the reason is THEM ! yes THEM, im losing the interest already … i don’t want to be creative, inspired, nor productive… this is a silly sick joke.
Unblock the sites & remove the censorship program for godsake!
Magic word ” please ” .. ?

Age of engage ? that would be the age of cavemen!
Damn this all..I’m switching to dialup coz there’s no use for the internet now..
thumbs up bro…
you’ve said enough…
and which freedom they are talking abt…
I agree on blocking the sweet “porno” sites… but the the others… am really speechless…
Thanks Moody
In age when people around the world are given a chance to choose what they want and what they don’t want to see, do and express. We get yet another all mighty example of just how dimwitted our powers to be are.
Stop this farce and grow up you cant censor the internet its way to vast a realm for you to be significant so cut it out.
So the solution is to do this online petition?! or go to our Niwab guys and tell them how wrong things are with this law?! are u kidding??? nobody in Bahrain respects or understands online petitions, let alone being used in a court of law. and about the Niwab, they are the very people that we need to run away from!! or more like need to be out of the parliament!! look at the sort of stuff they’re talking these days: jail anyone who has pork let alone tries to sell it, banning of alcohol in all places including Gulfair, banning men operating on women in hospitals, etc.. r they high on drugs or something!?!?! seriously, the CP or King needs to take this law and shreds it to pieces and throws out all the Niwab calls for re-election!! I cant believe the Niwab are not talking about unemployment problems, education issues, medical and innovative advances to be supported, etc.. and it may be right, this stupid law perhaps came from 1 person and decided quickly before a fair debate is done.. Anyway, I’ll do my 2 cents when i see a Niwab on the street on the way to work to spit on them.. the idiots
